Orallift is a specially fitted mouthpiece designed to be worn for a couple of hours, three times a week, to shift the position of the jaw. The device realigns facial muscles, with minimum discomfort, to give “the illusion of a facelift, but without a knife in sight”.
It is claimed to give a firmer jaw line, lifted eye area, fuller lips and brighter skin. Though not everyone in the industry is convinced. “If you have intensive orthodontic treatment, you can certainly reposition the jaw,” says Rajiv Grover, a consultant plastic surgeon. “But to say you can reverse loss of height in the jawbone by wearing a mouthpiece for a few hours a day is adventurous.”
